Circular Development Hub

You have found the page where we sum up the basics about our development hub.

We develop capacity for circular transition

The global resource equation does not align with the behaviors and needs of the world’s population. The demand for clean water, energy, food, and materials also follows population growth – and we are rapidly becoming more numerous.

This requires a shift in the perception and use of the raw materials that go into today’s production and consumption. Making better use of resources, reducing waste, loss, and residual flows is perhaps the fastest way for businesses to increase sustainability, resilience, and profitability.

The system must create more value from the same amount of raw material. And our hub is a cross-sector initiative operating at the intersection of business, academia, and society trying to make that happen!

We challenge today’s prevailing linear production, which starts with virgin material and ends with waste, and instead drive the shift towards a more circular perspective on both resources and business.

The core of Circular Development Hub’s operations is to support businesses in transforming waste into resources and to create conditions for the transition to more circular processes, products, and business activities.

With our activities, we want to continue enabling more industrial symbioses and cross-industry knowledge exchanges.
